Elyse and Erik can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter surrounded by the people who mean the most to them. What began as a spontaneous photo booth picture in Santa Monica turned into the start of their love story. This November, they’re so excited to bring family and friends together on the island for a weekend filled with laughter, sunshine, and unforgettable moments. Every conversation, every toast, and every shared smile will be part of memories they’ll cherish forever.

For Elyse and Erik, Oʻahu has always felt personal. Over the years, they’ve spent time on the island visiting family, settling into its pace, and making memories along the way. Choosing to start this next chapter here felt natural—like everything was already pointing them back.
HAWAIʻI HERITAGE
Elyse’s connection to Hawaiʻi started early, with childhood trips visiting her TuTu and Auntie Tracie that made the islands feel like a second home. With her dad, Cort, raised on Oʻahu, that connection was always part of the story. In 2018, it came full circle when the J’ Ohana Residence was established in Kailua—right near where he grew up.
LANIKŪHONUA
The Venue
From the start, Lanikūhonua just felt right. It’s more than a beautiful setting—it carries the spirit, culture, and history that make Hawaiʻi so special, preserved through the Lanikūhonua Cultural Institute. A favorite full-circle detail: both of their families vacationed in Ko Olina during the same years, long before Elyse and Erik ever met.
